What the operator display panel LEDs mean
You can determine the status of the disk shelf and its components by understanding the meanings
of the operator display panel LEDs when they are illuminated.
Note: The following table describes the LED behavior when the disk shelf is not in H0 shelf
mode. The

mode.

Green
One or more power supplies are supplying AC or DC power to the disk shelf.
IOMs and power supplies are functioning normally.
Disk shelf fault Amber
An error occurred with the function of a disk drive, IOM, or power supply.
Activity
Green
A link is established between the disk shelf and the storage system or another
disk shelf that it is attached to.
Operator display panel console error messages
When the SCSI Enclosure Services (SES) process on the disk shelf detects that the operator
display panel failed or there is a problem with the disk shelf or its components, an error message
appears on your storage system console.
Some of the corrective actions in these error messages can be disruptive.
