Attaching Ground Wire
Attach the ground wire by completing the following steps.

1. Locate the lightning protection system ground
connection for the site.
2. Connect the external grounding lug of the Gateway to
the lightning protection system for that site.
See Figure 63. Use #4 or #6 AWG.
3. Tighten with a flathead screw driver. Torque to
35 in-lbs (40 Nm).
Attaching the RF Antenna Cable
Complete the following instructions to attach the RF antenna
cable.

1. Locate the RF antenna cable that extends from the RF
antenna.
2. Connect the RF antenna cable to the RF antenna
connector located on the bottom of the Gateway.
See Figure 64.
3. Tighten the coaxial connector to 14 in-lb (1.5 Nm).
Special consideration should be given when the
Gateway is installed inside a building.
The screen (shield) of the coaxial cable must be
connected to earth (grounded) at the entrance to the
building. This should be done in accordance with
applicable national electrical installation codes (Section
820.93 of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70).
