be noted that the hose should be held by the hand as long as possible during the
recoiling.
The ratchet function can be disengaged by removing the ratchet. In that case
the hose must first be completely recoiled.
3.3 Selecting hose
When selecting hose, see dimension and working pressure on the reels type
label. Also see figure 1.
3.4 Hose fitting
See figure 7.
1. Place the reel on a suitable working bench.
2. Important! Ensure that there is no tension in the spring.
3. Feed the hose through the reel outlet and attach it to the nipple on the
drum shaft.
4. Mount the hose-stop close to the outer limit of the hose.
5. Reel the hose on to the reel by turning the spring loaded hub with a
tommy bar. Once the hose has been wound on to the drum ensure that
the right tension has been obtained by turning the hub a further 2–6
revolutions.
6. Fit the inlet hose, min. length 1.0 m.
7. Fit the reel, see 3.1. Mounting instruction .
8. Check that the required length of hose can be unreeled without stretching
the spring to its limit.
9. Turn on the supply and check that the hoseconnections don’t leak.

NOTE!
If the spring power has been increased check that the required length
of the hose can be drawn out without stretching the spring to the limit.
4 Maintenance
Installation, repair and maintenance work is to be carried out by qualified
personnel using only original Nederman spare parts. Contact your nearest
authorized distributor or Nederman for advice on technical service.
NOTE!
The service intervals in this chapter are based on the unit being
professionally maintained.
The following maintenance is recommended to be accomplished regularly or at
least once a year:
• Check the spring function by testing if the hose recoils properly.
