System halts during boot sequence
Check condition of selected bootload device
(diskette or hard disk) for bad boot track or
incorrect OS files.
Try booting from a new bootable diskette and
recopy or repartition hard disk.
Check for any BIOS error messages on the
display screen.

I/O processing malfunctions
Check the connections of all internal devices.
Replace the system board.
Diskette drive does not work
Check if the diskette drive cable is connected
properly.
Check the diskette type if correct and not faulty.

Hard disk drive malfunction
Check if hard disk drive is set properly on CMOS
SETUP.
