Basic Test Procedures
When installation and necessary data assignment have been completed, perform the following operation tests.
[1] Basic Connection Test
Perform the connection test according to the following procedure. Before starting the connection test, be
sure to confirm that the Telephony Server is operating as follows:
•
No alarm is indicated on the Telephony Server.
•
Normal call processing can be activated.
START
1. Is the PWR Lamp lighting green?
2. Is the LINK Lamp lighting green?
*Initial setting on MC is started.
*Registration established.
*Initial setting between MC and Telephony Server is started.
*MC starts operating normally.
Is the Power Cable firmly connected? Is the Power Switch turned ON?
The MC may not be physically connected to the LAN. Check the LAN Cable between the MC and
Network Device.
Use a LAN Cable (straight-through).
Test the continuity in the LAN Cable.
Make sure the network device (SW HUB or Router) is turned ON.
If the problem is not cleared, change the LAN Cable or change the network device.
Confirm the data setting of Telephony Server and MC.
Telephony Server: Using ADTM and ALIDL, reassign the DRS and IP Network Data respectively.
MC: Check the initially assigned system data (IP Address of MC and DRS) on MC by maintenance console.
