1.4 IP-BS Data Assignment
Note:
“DRS (Device Registration Server)” used in this section refers to the Telephony Server. When IP-BS com-
municates with the Telephony Server, the Telephony Server acts as DRS, which is controlling function of
the Telephony Server.

IP Address, Default Gateway, Related DRS
Default setting of IP-BS is to retrieve the necessary data from DHCP server. When not using DHCP server,
connect a PC to IP-BS via LAN or directly as shown below.

Connecting a PC with IP-BS
To set the necessary data via a PC, use one of the following.

Login
To make a connection, activate communication software such as telnet in the PC, and specify IP ad-
dress and port number. The ways of specifying port number and IP address depend on the software to
be used.
Example:
IP Address: 192.168.0.100
Port Number: 5000
Note 1:
192.168.0.100 is default IP address.
Enter a password (
) in the following message. The entered password on the screen is displayed
with asterisk (*). If a wrong password is entered, the system disconnects you automatically.
Note 1:
Default password is “
iPbSmNt
”.
