“GENERIC SOFTWARE” to the FTP server before performing a Remote Version Upgrade for SR-
MGC(E). Store the Program File and the checksum file in a same folder.
• A file size of a Program File is more than 2 GB. Make sure that the disk space of the FTP server is
enough.
• Multiple FTP servers can be used concurrently.
• IPv6 address cannot be used for an IP address of the FTP server.
STEP 1: Configure PCPro Connection Account Setting.
Set two Connection Accounts on PCPro, one for connecting to SV8500 which SR-MGC is ac-
commodated in and another for connecting to SR-MGC.

Refer to “PCPro Setup Manual” - “Chapter 5 Various Settings of PCPro” - “1. Connection Account
Setting” for detailed procedure.
STEP 2: Connect PCPro to SR-MGC.
Connect to SR-MGC using the Connection Account for SR-MGC set in
.
STEP 3: Confirm SIP Server ID.
Execute the ASPC command on PCPro to confirm the current SIP Server ID.
Note:
Select “System-0” from System in the ASPC command and then click the Read button to confirm the cur-
rent SIP Server ID. This SIP Server ID will be needed when reconfiguring the ASPC command after a
Remote Version Upgrade.
STEP 4: Disconnect PCPro from SR-MGC.
Disconnect the connection with SR-MGC from PCPro.
STEP 5: Connect PCPro to SV8500.
Connect to SV8500 using the Connection Account for SV8500 set in
. Refer to “PCPro
Setup Manual” - “Chapter 3 Setting Up PCPro” - “Communication Link with Telephony Serv-
er” for connecting procedure of PCPro.
STEP 6: Configure the FTP Server Setting.
Configure the FTP Server Setting used for version upgrade with the CMNT command.

Execute the CMNT command in PCPro. Click the FTP Server Setting tab, enter FTP
server number used for version upgrade in FTP Server No. and then click the Read but-
ton.
