2.3  Basic Usage of BioCripto Card

2.3.1  How to place your finger

In order to maintain high accuracy of BioCripto Card collation, refer to “How to place your finger correctly”.

A good example of placing the finger

(1)

The thick part of the finger (center of the fingerprint) should touch the sensor.

(2)

The finger should touch the sensor earth.

Note:

• The center of the fingerprint spiral usually coincides with the base of the nail.  Aiming this place, position the

finger at the center of the Sensor.

• When the finger is placed on the sensor, make sure that you touch the sensor earth (2 points, the upper end

and the lower end) with the finger.

• Close the sensor guard when it is not in use.  If the sensor is damaged, it may cause unit failure or degrade of

collation accuracy.

• Put the finger directly on the sensor.

• If the finger is stained with sweat or oil, wipe the fingertip with handkerchief, and then put it on the sensor.

• The sensor may get dirty due to direct contact with fingers.  Please clean the sensor using the procedure in

“How to clean”.
