Overview

You can upgrade the firmware on the 1765 LAN card by 
installing a flash-ROM upgrade. Unlike other read-only 
memory, flash-ROM is rewritable. This appendix 
describes how to install flash-ROM firmware upgrades 
on the following systems.

NetWare networks

TCP/IP networks using ftp

TCP/IP networks using FWTOOL on Windows 95 
systems

AppleTalk networks

To install a flash-ROM upgrade across a 
NetWare network proceed to page B-2.

To install a flash-ROM upgrade using ftp

To install a flash-ROM upgrade using NEC’s
