(4)    Memory board installation procedure 

 

a.   The memory board has cutouts to prevent incorrect insertion. Please orient the board so 

that the connector polarity and board cutouts match. (See the following figure) 

b.   Insert the board vertically on the connector. Press the levers at each end of the connector 

so that they fasten the half-circle shaped cutouts on each edge of the board. (See the 
following figure) 

 

 

 

 

(5)    Continue to install or remove internal optional devices, mount and connect the server, and 

  turn it on. 

(6)    Confirm that no error messages are displayed in POST screen. 

If any error messages are displayed, refer to 

Chapter 3 (2.BIOS Setup Utility)

 for BIOS Setup Utility in 

“User’s Guide”. 

(7)  Run BIOS Setup Utility, and select 

Memory Configuration

 and then 

Memory Information 

from the 

Advanced

 menu. Make sure the capacity of added DIMM is displayed properly. 

Refer to Chapter 3 (2.BIOS Setup Utility) for BIOS Setup Utility in “User’s Guide”. 

(8) Select 

Memory Configuration

 from the

 Advanced 

menu, and then specify 

Yes

 for 

Memory 

Retest

After that, select 

Save Changes and Exit
