Updating the LAN driver 

 
To use Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2, update the LAN driver. 
After installing the OS, Starter Pack and Service Pack by following the Installation Guide 
(Windows), refer to the URL below and select your server model and update to the latest LAN 
driver.

 Precautions for Using EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3, NEC ESMPRO 

Manager or  ROM Utility 

 
"Shutdown System" function

 

In the ECO setting of each tool/utility, when [Aggressive Mode] 

 [Shutdown System] is enabled, 

the “Shutdown System” function operates to shut down the OS depending on the power consumption 
state. If the OS shutdown takes more than 45 seconds, forced power down may occur. 

 

The below shows how to select the ECO setting screen on each tool/utility.

 

For EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3 : [Configuration]

For ESMPRO/Server Manager :

For ROM Utility : 

The following message appears at the lower left of the screen when the server is powered on. 

Press <F2> SETUP, <F4> ROM Utility, <F12> Network   

Press <F4> to boot ROM Utility.

 [ECO]
