that they do not exceed 100m.
Problem:
LINK LED remains OFF when station is connect-
ed to
port.
Solution:
Verify that your cables are wired correctly
(See
Installation
and Setup -
Network
Connections)
Verify that station is powered ON.
Problem:
LINK LED is ON but data is not being forwarded
through switch, or communication is
faulty.
Solution:
Check that the Duplex and Rate configurations are correct
between station and switch; ie the same at both ends.
Verify that ports are not in the intrusion control security
mode. (See Device Security & Learning Configurations-
Device Management
)
Make sure that ports are on the same VLAN. (See
Device
Management - pg. 27
)

Ensure that the equipment attached to the switch is properly configured.
(See Ports Statistics,
Device Management
)
If you encounter any situations or problems you cannot solve, obtain, if
possible, the following information:
•
The serial number of your switch and its hardware address
•
The configuration of the equipment being interfaced with the switch
•
The sequence of events leading up to your problem
•
Troubleshooting procedures you have already followed
