POWER SOURCE

 

This unit operates on 6 X ‘C’ (UM-2) size batteries or from AC120V/60Hz line power supply. 
 

A. DC POWER OPERATION 

1. 

Open the Battery Door (#18). 

2. 

Insert  6  “C”  (UM-2) size batteries (not included) according to the polarity diagram on the back 
cabinet. 

3. 

Close the Battery Door (#18). 

 

IMPORTANT

:  Be sure that the batteries are installed correctly. Wrong polarity may damage the unit. 

 
 

Note: For better performance and longer operating time, we recommend the use of alkaline-type 

batteries. 
 

(a)  Do not mix old and new batteries. 
(b)  Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. 
If the unit is not to be used for an extended period of time, remove the battery. Old or leaking battery can 
cause damage to the unit and may void the warranty. 

 

B. AC OPERATION 

1.  Connect the included AC Power Cord to the AC Mains (#17) on the back of the unit. 
2.  Connect the other end of the AC Power Cord to a wall outlet with AC120V/60Hz power supply. 
 

CD PLAYER OPERATION 

1. 

Set the Band Selector (#16) to the "CD" position. 

2. 

Open the CD Door (#1). Place an audio CD with its label side upward in the CD compartment and 
close the CD Door. 

3. 

After a few seconds, the total number of tracks on the CD will appear in the CD Track Display (#3). 

4. 

Press the PLAY/PAUSE  Button (#7) and

 

   the CD will start playing from the first track. The CD Track 

Display will light steadily. 

5. 

Adjust the Volume Control (#15) to obtain the desired sound level from the Speakers (#11). 

6. 

To suspend playing, press the CD PLAY/PAUSE Button (#7). The CD Track Display will flash. To 
resume playing, press the CD PLAY/PAUSE Button (#7) again. 

7. 

You can choose to play your favorite track directly by pressing the CD FWD Skip Button (#9) to skip 
forward or CD REW Skip Button (#6) to skip backward.    The CD Track Display (#3) will indicate the 
correct track number selected. 

8. 

To repeat playing a particular track, press the REPEAT Button (#8) once. The Repeat Indicator in the 
CD Track Display will flash. 

9. 

To repeat playing the entire CD
