OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Installation can be made at the factory CD changer or
at the front unit location.
You will need to access the orange fiber optic cables
(BLACK PLUG) that is plugged into the front unit or CD
changer; this may require you to remove the CD
Changer.
Remove the BLACK plug from the CD changer that con-
tains the orange fiber optic cables and insert it into the
POR-i-POD interface, plug in the i-POD loom to the inter-
face and route to desired location. Next supply a 12v+ Per-
manent supply to the Red cable and suitable Earth to the
Black cable and plug into the interface (if fitted at the CD
Changer location). The interface can also be fitted at the
front unit as diagram below shows using the supplied
black joiner to connect the fiber optics end to end at
the CD changer plug in the boot to continue the loop,
and using the supplied Plug in Power harness at the front
unit plug.
If there is no CD changer you will need to connect the fiber
optic cable supplied into the plug at the front unit to create a
loop as shown.
