G80-VIM Installation
1.
Connect the provided
Plug & Play T-Harness
in between the
matching OEM power connector and the radio.
2.
Connect the G80-VIM module to the 18-pin connector and
secure with wire ties or Velcro to prevent rattles.
3.
Optional:
Connecting the
INPUT 1 wire (red)
to
OUTPUT 1 (ACC, white/red)
through a
toggle switch
will activate VIM when toggle on. This is connection is not necessary if
using the OEM steering wheel button to activate VIM instead (see next section).
G80-VIM Operation
To toggle VIM:
double-press
the
MUTE
button
on the steering wheel. This feature will reset
upon every key cycle.
•
Additionally, sending 12v to
Input 1 (Red wire)
will activate VIM as well (use only one
method).
