Beginwiththegaugeremovedfromdash:Thereby,freethePitothose(cutifnecessary).RemovetheBacklight,by
pullingitfromthecase.Andremovethemountingbracket.
***RemembertoalwaysprotecttheLensFacewithasoftclothorpadtoavoidscratches.
***Refrainfromdiscardingremovedparts!Somearereused.
***Thisprocessisirreversible.Forsomemechanicalpartsare
ruinedastoexpediteandeasetheupgradeprocedure.
***FORBESTRESULTS,READTHEENTIREPROCEDUREFIRST!
1.
Withyourfingers,gentlypry/slidethebezeloff.
2.
RemovetheFrameMountingscrews;usea#2Phillips
screwdriver.Thescrewsarethreadedintohexstand-offs
whichsupporttheinternalframe.Removeallthreescrews.
Note:thestand-offmaytwistfreefromtheframebeforecoming
loosefromthescrew.Thisisok.Fortheobjectiveistofreethe
framefromthecase.(SeepicinAssemblystep6.)
3.
Fromthefront,removetheentiredialfromthecase:this
includestheLens,LensGasket,DialandFrame(andany
stand-offsstillattached).
4.
SlidetheLens/gasketupandofftheAdjustmentscrew.
5.
Witha¼”nutdriver,removethethreehexstand-
offsfromtheframeand/orcase.
6.
Prytheindicatorneedleloosefromtherotor:
a.
Toprotectthedialface,place2masking
tapestripsundertheneedle,on
oppositesidesoftherotor.
b.
Neartherotor,slidetwosmallflathead
screwdriversundertheneedlefrom
opposingdirections.Withtheirblades
flatonthetape,gentlytwist/prythe
screwdriversshaftsuptoreleasethe
needle.
