RF Power Module Fan Tray Cooling Fan replacement

1. Remove the fan tray assembly (A35 through A39) that contains the suspect fan as

detailed in

“RF Power Module Fan Tray replacement” on page 1-84

2. Disconnect the suspect fan’s three (3) tab quick connectors (E1 through E3 for Fan 1 or

E4 through E6 for Fan 2) (see

Figure 1.21

3. Remove and retain the cooling fan’s two (2) M4 screws that secure the fan to the tray.

4. Obtain a replacement fan (Nautel Part # ZAP37) from the site spares kit, if purchased

(vendor part # is Sanyo Denki America Inc. 109E5748C503).

5. Reverse

Step 2

and

Step 3

to install the replacement fan while ensuring correct

orientation for proper air flow. Check the position of the other fan as reference.

6. Reinstall the fan tray as detailed in

“RF Power Module Fan Tray replacement” on

page 1-84

. Ensure the offending alarm has cleared.
