Connecting Ac Power
To connect ac power to the transmitter, perform the following steps:
1. Make sure you have completed the planning requirements described in Section 1.5, “Electrical
Requirements” on page 1.5.1 before proceeding.
2. Switch off the ac power at the service entrance.
3. Obtain the ac power connector (Nautel part # JD43), provided in the Ancillary kit.
4. Route the user-provided ac power cable from the service entrance to the rear panel of the
transmitter.
5. Connect the ac power cable to the JD43 connector as follows (see Figure 1.10.1 for details):
 Connect the ac power cable’s line wires to the two
Line
terminals on the connector and
tighten the Phillips screws.
 Connect the ac power cable’s ground wire to the ground terminal on the connector and
tighten the Phillips screw.
