13.9. Troubleshooting the External Power Pack
Use the table below to help identify possible causes and corrective actions for problems you may
experience.

Power on the indicator is not lit
AC power cord is not connected
to a wall outlet.
Check all power supply
connections.
Switch to an alternate power
source.
Power cord is not connected to
the power pack.
Power supply not functioning
Power pack will not go into
charge mode
Power pack is fully charged.
No action necessary.
Power pack is not connected
properly to the power supply.
Remove the power supply plug,
and reconnect to the power pack
connector.
Defective power pack.
Replace the power pack.
Power pack is too hot/cold.
Allow power pack to return to
room temperature.
Power Pack becomes hot
Defective power pack.
Disconnect power pack from
power supply immediately.
Replace power pack and remove
from further service.
Error message
(amber light flashing)
Over discharge of power pack.
Leave power pack connected to
the power supply and allow to
recover.
Charger Fault condition is
identified.
Disconnect power pack from the
power supply and reconnect.
Defective power pack.
Replace the power pack.
Power pack does not accept a
full charge
Charging location or power pack
excessively hot.
Charge the power pack in a room
temperature location. Allow the
power pack to cool to room
temperature prior to charging.
