1. Check intensity.
Check the intensity of the light using a
radiometer per your institution’s procedures.
2. Shield infant’s eyes
with protective eye shields designed for use
during phototherapy.
3. Position light over infant.
The light can be placed on top of an
incubator, or used with the arm and roll stand for positioning the
light with a bassinet, open bed, radiant warmer or incubator.
4. Turn on blue treatment light.
Press On/Stand-by button
on the control panel.
5. Select High or Low intensity.
Press High or Low
intensity setting buttons, as appropriate for the patient.
