10.3.2 Visual Feedback on the Touch Strips
Each Touch Strip includes a LED chain giving you a direct feedback on the current value for
the MIDI message assigned to the strip’s Position action. The state of the LED chain can be
controlled in two ways — internally via your actions on the Touch Strip, or remotely via MIDI
feedback. For more details, please refer to section
25.6.9, Assignments for Touch Strips –
.
10.3.3 Visual Feedback on the LEVEL Meters
At the top right of your MASCHINE JAM controller, the
LEVEL
meters provide two assignable
LED chains that give you additional visual feedback on your target’s parameters. These LED
chains are not coupled with any control element on your device. The feedback provided by
each LED chain depends on its own assignment settings as defined in the
Assign
pane of the
Inspector. See
25.6.11, Assignments for LED Chains and 7-segment Displays
mation on the possible assignments.
10.3.4 Visual Feedback for the Control Encoder
The Control encoder has no direct visual feedback, but depending on the type of MIDI message
selected, you can assign a LED chain (say, from the
LEVEL
meters right above the encoder) to
the
same MIDI message
as the Control encoder in order to visualize the value being sent (or
received).
10.4 Using Two or More MASCHINE JAM Units
You can use up to four MASCHINE JAM units simultaneously. This allows you to further extend
the number of parameters you can control in your target(s). For more information on how to set
up more than one MASCHINE JAM for use with the same computer, please refer to chapter
24, Using Two or More Units of the Same Type
.
