This user manual contains an overview of the VXI-8340 series and
PCI-8330 series hardware and the NI-VISA and NI-VXI software, guides
you through setting up your kit, and helps you get started with application
development. You can also use this manual as a reference for the hardware
and software default settings and to find answers to commonly
asked questions.
When you have successfully set up your system, you can begin to develop
applications in NI-VISA or NI-VXI. NI-VISA online manuals are included
in your kit in the form of Adobe Acrobat portable document format (PDF)
files. The
NI-VXI Online Help
presents the concepts of VXI and detailed
explanations of the NI-VXI functions. Study the descriptions of each
function given in the online help to fully understand the purpose and syntax
of each function.

bold
Bold text denotes items that you must select or click on in the software,
such as menu items and dialog box options. Bold text also denotes
parameter names.
