What is the maximum baud rate supported and how can I set it?

The maximum baud rate supported is 460.8 KBaud for RS-485 
and 115.2 KBaud for RS-232. You can use the Win32 function 
SetCommState and pass the actual value of the baud rate in the 
BaudRate field of the DCB structure.

What information should I have before I call National Instruments?

When you call National Instruments, you should have the results of the 
Diagnostic test. Also, make sure you have filled out the hardware and 
software configuration form in Appendix F,
