A Compact FieldPoint system consists of one cFP-BP-
x
backplane,
one cFP-20
xx
controller, one or more I/O modules, and one or more
connector blocks or accessories. Each Compact FieldPoint system can
be accessed by an unlimited number of PCs and FieldPoint modules,
forming a distributed computing system. The maximum number of
cFP-20
xx
controllers that you can install on an Ethernet network is limited
only by network topology.
The cFP-20
xx
controller connects directly to a 10 or 100 Mbps Ethernet
network. The cFP-20
xx
auto-detects the speed of the connection
and configures itself accordingly.
