FieldPoint Bus Extender Cable

3. If you plan to mount the cable to a wall or panel, drill pilot mounting holes, as shown 

in Figures 2 and 3.

Note

Securing the cable to the wall or panel helps prevent accidental 

disconnection.

4. Install your Bus Extender Cable. The female end of the cable plugs into the terminal 

base closer to the network module, and the male end plugs into the terminal base farther 
from the network module. The cables are keyed to prevent improper installation.

5. If you drilled holes in Step 3, secure the Bus Extender Cable by driving a screw through 

the mounting tab holes and into the pilot holes. Place the plastic spacers (included with 
the cable) behind the mounting tab. Use the thin spacers when the FieldPoint bank is 
mounted directly to a wall or panel. Use the thick spacers when the FieldPoint bank 
is mounted on a DIN rail.
