1. Insert the battery into the power connector of the pruner.
2. Switch on the power switch of the pruner. Due to the first time usage that the LED display indicator will be green and the buzzer will buzz for 1 times,
3. Double click the trigger, the pruner blades will automatically open.
4. Normal pruning: press trigger to close the blades and release the trigger to open blades. Blading closing: continue to press the trigger, a continual buzz
means the blade will stay closed.
5. Before operation, in order to see if the pruner performances well, please press the trigger to close and release the trigger to open the blades without
cutting anything. Repeat this for a few times.
Packing up
1. Press the trigger and hold for a few seconds and then release, the blade will close and will not open.
2. Switch off the battery, Disconnect the battery.
3. Tidy up, clean up and pack the pruner into the tool box.
Battery Charging
The battery connected to the charger, The charger plug connected to the power socket the LED indicator on the battery will turn RED during charging and
turn GREEN when the battery is fully charged
Cautions
1. Before charging, please ensure battery power switch is in OFF position. During normal for the charger and battery to be warm.
2. If the battery is not use for a long period of time, it recommended to charge the battery once every 3 months, this is to ensure the battery life is not affect-
ed by low usage.
3. For new battery or battery unused for a long time, it will need about 5 charge-discharge cycles before achieving full capacity
4. Do not recharge a fully charged battery just after a few minutes of usage, this will reduce the battery lifespan and efficiency.
5. Do not use a damaged battery and do not disassemble the charger or battery.
6. Do not place battery near high temperature heat source, the battery will explode in fire or long exposure to high temperature heat source.
7. Do not charge the battery in outdoor or humid environment.
8. It is normal for the pruning shear to reduce cutting diameter when the battery capacity is getting low.
9. Do not use the pruning shear during charging. It must be disconnected from the battery during charging.
10. Do not store battery in a humid environment.
Blade Replacement
When the moving blade no longer crosses the fixed blade throughout its length, or when the power pruner could no longer have a clean cut after grinding,
blade replacement is recommended with the following step:
1. For safety, before replacing the blade, please ensure the pruning shear is power OFF and power cable disconnected from battery.
2. Refer to the diagrams illustrated on page 1 in order to replace the blade.
3. Clean up the blade after replacing, connect to power cable to battery, power ON to test the blade, close up the blade to complete the whole procedure.
Fixed and movable blades can be replaced individually; do not worry about the size of replacement blade aperture, the opening will automatically return to
normal size during power ON after completing blade replacement.
Usage and Care for Pruning Shear
1. Do not cut branches beyond the specified diameter indicated, do not cut hard items such as metals, stone or any other non-plant materials. If the blades
are worn or damaged, please replace the blades.
2. Keep the pruning shear clean, use such a clean cloth to clean the pruning shear, battery and charger(do not use any abrasive or solvent-based cleaning
agent), use a soft brush or a dry to clean the dust off the pruning shear head.
3. Do not immerse the pruning shear, battery or charger in any liquid
4. Follow instructions as given for proper use of the pruning shear, do not use the pruning shear when the tool Itself, battery or charger is damaged.
5. Do not use the pruning shear if it could not operate or shut down properly, send for servicing immediately. It is dangerous to use the pruning shear when
the tool could not operate or shut down properly.
6. Please ensure the power pruner is powered OFF during any adjustment, changing accessories or storage. This protective measure aims to reduce the risk
of accident pruning shear activation
7. Please ensure the blades are closed when not in use, storage of the pruning shear must keep out of reach from CHILDREN, do not allow any person who
is not familiar with the pruner operation or instruction to use the pruning shear, it is dangerous to use the pruning shear without proper training and under-
standing.
8. The use of the pruning shear must comply with instructions stated in this manual and methods of use as well as taking in considerations of the working
environment and nature of work undertaken. The use of the pruning shear not within its stated capability and specifications is dangerous
9. Remove all dirt from the moving and fixed blades after each use, thereafter apply lubricant on the blade side where both moving and fixed blade contact.
This will ensure the blades are maintained in good conditions and reduce resistance during use prolonging the pruner and blade lifespan
Product Operation
ON-OFF:
To turn the pruning shears on, turn the ON-OFF switch on the base of the tool to the ON position.
To turn the pruning shears off, turn the ON-OFF switch on the base of the pruning shears to the OFF position.
Unlocking/opening the blades:
for safety reasons, the pruning shears, after being switched on
remain deactivated
, protecting the operator from the risk of
unintentional activation. To put the pruning shears into operation and disengage the locking system, press the trigger twice in succession until you hear a
double audible alarm
coming from the beeper,
"2 beeps".
Adjust the travel of the moving cutting blade: The travel of the moving cutting blade can be adjusted between 3/4 or 4/4 of full opening
distance
(15/30mm)
,
depending on the requirements of the
current application
. To change the blade travel setting, hold the trigger until you hear the
beeper
(1
beep) and release it. The 3/4 and 4/4 settings alternate between each other in sequence when following the above procedure. In the event that the blades
remain locked or the pruning shears are deactivated, press the trigger twice in succession until you hear a double beep (2 beeps).
Locking system/closing the blades:
hold the trigger in until you hear a single beep followed immediately by a double beep
,
'1 beep' and then a double
beep
,
'2 beeps'. Make sure to turn off the pruning shears via the ON/OFF switch before storing the tool.
Automatic shut-off function:
the BS2900 is equipped with an automatic shut-off system, which protects the operator from the risk of unintentional
activation and at the same time helps to save battery power. The pruning shears are automatically switched off after approximately 1 minute of inactivity.
To put the pruning shears back into operation and release the locking system, press the trigger twice in succession until you hear a double audible alarm "2
