Installation
1. Connect Myro:Bridge to RNET system. With the audio
system turned off, use an RJ-45 patch cable (provided) to
connect from either RNET Link jack on the bridge to an
RNET Link jack on the system or an RNET source compo-
nent.
2. Connect Myro:Bridge to LAN (Local Area Network).
The bridge requires that a DHCP server is on the same
network. If you are unsure of this, please check with your
network administrator (most modern networks have this
feature active). Plug a Cat5e/Cat6 cable into the port
labeled “LAN” to an active port on your network switch (or
wall plate).
3. Turn on audio system. Power up the audio system and
select source input 6 (you will be able to change this later).
If you have another smart source using input 6, temporarily
remove it from the system by unplugging power and RNET
cable from source.
4. Power Myro:Bridge. Plug the provided power adapter
into and AC power receptacle and connect the output bar-
rel to the device power jack labelled “Power”.
5. Check status. When the bridge is powered up, the key-
pad will display, in the following order:
1) Initializing...
2) MyroBridge-XXXXXXXX (X being alpha-numeric
values)
3) Obtaining IP
4) XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (X being numeric IP address)
Once an IP has been obtained, it will display on the keypad
as XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (make a note of this for the next step).
The bridge is now available online and can now be config-
ured as a different source input ID.
6. Change RNET Source ID. If you would like to change
the RNET source ID from the default of 6, you will need to
access the built-in web server on Myro:Bridge. To do so
access: http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:1400/ (Note: IP from step 5)
from a web browser on the same network and then select
the RNET ID you would like to use from the drop down
menu (1-12).
UPDATING FIRMWARE:
The bridge ships from the factory with the latest firm-
ware already installed. Occasionally, we add features and
updates and it’s also useful if you decided to change the
purpose of the bridge to serve another use. To update the
firmware visit www.myrobridge.com and select “Down-
loads”. From there you can download the latest firmware
and instructions.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
If the bridge does not make it past the “Initializing...” or any
other step, pressing the “RESET” button on the bridge for a
few seconds typically fixes the issue. If the issue is still pres-
ent, check the network and all connections and repeat the
steps above again.
