The filter prevent larger remnants of food o r other o bje cts from getting inside the pump.
The filter system consis ts of a coarse filte r, a flat (Main filter)
and a micro filter (fine filter).
Food and soil particles trapped by this filter are pulverized by a
special jet on the spray arm and washed down to drain .
Main filter

Larger items, such as pieces of bone or glass, that could block
the drain are trapped in the coarse filter. To remo ve the items
caught by the filter, gently squeeze th e tap on the top of this
filter and lift out.

prevents it from being deposited on the dishes during wash cycle.
