Good to know!
The Wi-Fi network of 5GHz can provide up to 100 Mbps. However, several factors affect your speed:
•
Your 100 Mbps experience will depend on the number of devices connected to the router.
•
As you move away from the router, the speed shall degrade as per the physical radio environment.
Stay close to your wireless router for a better experience.
•
Wireless routers from neighboring houses can also impact on your speed.
•
Make sure you position your router in a place which is free from obstructions. Refer to page 8 to get some ideas !
1. Connect your laptop/ PC to the one of the LAN ports 1/ 3/ 4 of the router using the LAN cable (RJ 45).
2. Log on to www.speedtest.net. You may also download the ‘Speedtest’ app on your smartphone.
3. Select a local server (Port-Louis/ Rose-Hill/ Floreal)
4. Click on ‘Begin test’
5. If you are getting near to 100 Mbps, this means that
your connection is good.
