Optional – Attaching the Router to a Flat Surface
Before you mount your router to a permanent surface, verify signal strength. For more information, refer to Verify
Signal Strength in this chapter.
The router can be panel mounted with screws spaced according to the measurement shown.
Note:
Use either #6 or #8 pan head screws for all four mount locations.
Setting TCP/IP Address
This section describes how to configure a TCP/IP address so the computer can communicate with the router.
1.
From the
Start
menu, select
Control Panel
. In the window that opens, double-click
Network Connections
. The
Network Connections
window opens.
2.
Right-click
Local Area Connection
. From the menu that appears, select
Properties
.
The Local Area Connection Properties window opens.
3.
Select
Internet Protocol [TCP/IP]
.
4.
Click
Properties
. The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window opens.
