Step 4: Connect the Modem to Your PC
Attach the RS-232 connector on the modem to the serial port on your
computer with an RS-232 cable, which you supply.
Step 5: Connect a Telephone to the Modem
To connect a telephone set to the modem (optional) plug one end of an
RJ-11 phone cord into the
PHONE
connector on the modem, and plug
the other end into your telephone.
Step 6: Connect the Modem to the AC Power Outlet
Attach the AC Power transformer provided with your modem to the
POWER
connector on the modem and to a live AC outlet.
Note
:
Only apply power to the modem using the power transformer
provided with your unit. Use of a power supply not designed for your unit
could result in damage to your modem and will void the warranty.
Step 7: Apply Power
Apply power to the modem by setting the
ON/OFF
switch at the rear of
the modem to the
ON
(Up) position.
