DISPLAYING AN INDIVIDUAL SCREEN
It may be useful to display a single problem screen indefinitely, to assist in checking settings.
The video signal from the MultiScreen Channel unit will have to be moved from the
A/V OUT
MAIN
Video output (yellow socket) to the corresponding
A/V OUT MONITOR
video output. The
MAIN outputs are switch
ed to an independently generated “Updating System, Please Wait”
message when not in normal Display mode. The
MONITOR
output should be the same as the
picture on the Operator’s VGA monitor, but in composite video format.
To display an individual screen from an existing sequence, first access the
Sequence Editor
(see Step 1 above). The
Sequence Editor
screen shows up to 24 thumbnail pictures of screens
from the selected sequence. The right hand scroll bar can be used to reveal additional
thumbnails, while a different sequence can be selected via the arrow just to the left of the
Preview
button. To view an individual screen in a sequence, point to the individual thumbnail
and double click on it. This opens the
Screen Editor
. Click on the
Preview
button to view the
full screen image. To end the preview, press
Esc
,
Enter
or the
Space
bar, or click either mouse
button. Click on
Cancel
to return to the
Sequence Editor
. Note that screens with a chain or
DVD symbol are special screen types, and cannot be previewed in this manner.
An alternative method is to view an image in the Graphics Library. From the
Sequence Editor
,
click on the
Config
button to access the
Configuration
menu. Next, click on the
Graphics
Manager
button. Thumbnails of the first 24 graphics in the selected category will appear. A
suitable graphic for testing may be found in the MultiScreen category. [Click on the down arrow
to the right of the current category name, then drag the scroll bar on the right hand side of the
list box to reveal the desired category, then click on that category.] Point to a suitably bright
screen, for example one of the widescreen TV images with a minimal amount of writing on the
screen area, then right click to display the full screen image. Another good test image is the
third Balloons picture in the Occasions category. To finish viewing the image, press
Esc
,
Enter
or
Space
, or click either mouse button. To return to the
Sequence Editor
, click on
Exit
, and
Exit
again.
The selected sequence (in the Sequence Editor) may be run from any screen in that sequence
by first selecting it [point to the thumbnail, left click to select it, indicated by a red border around
that thumbnail], then clicking the
Preview
button. To finish previewing, press
Esc
,
Enter
,
Space
or a mouse button.
FINE TUNING AND RETURNING TO NORMAL OPERATION
To run the normal display sequence, click on the
Display
button in the
Sequence Editor
.
Check for absence of interference on TVs, especially on bright images.
If problems persist, try reducing the Contrast and/or Brightness settings down a bit further, or try
different Video Gain settings. If the
NVIDIA Control Panel
screen was previously minimised, it
can be restored by clicking on the
NVIDIA Control Panel
item on the toolbar, which will appear
by moving the cursor towards the bottom of the Windows Desktop screen.
