DCA-15SPXU4 — GENERATOR SHUT-DOWN PROCEDURES

NEVER

 stop the engine suddenly except in an emergency.

WARNING - SHUTTING DOWN THE GENERATOR

Normal Shutdown Procedure

To shutdown the generator use the following procedure:

1. Place both the

 main

GFCI, 

and 

aux. 

circuit breakers

as shown in Figure 25 to the 

OFF

 position.

2. Set the Speed Control Switch to the 

START/IDLE

 position

as shown in Figure 27 and let the engine cool for 3-5
minutes with no load applied.

3. Turn the ignition key counter-clockwise to the

 STOP

position.  When the engine has stopped, remove key.
Place key in a safe place where it will not be lost.

4. Inspect entire generator for any damage or loosening of

components that may have occured during operation.

Emergency Shutdown Procedure

1. Turn the ignition key counter-clockwise to the

 STOP

position.  When the engine has stopped, remove key.
Place key in a safe place where it will not be lost.

2. Place both the

 main,

 

GFCI, 

and 

aux. 

circuit breakers

as shown in Figure 25 to the 

OFF

 position.
