If dirty, wipe the clock using a soft cloth with a small 

amount of diluted neutral detergent or soap and water. 

Then wipe with a dry cloth.

Avoid using benzene, thinner, alcohol or aerosol clean-

ers to clean the case.

Do not place small parts and the battery within reach of small children. If accidental swallowing occurs, immediately seek 

medical advice.

If liquid leaked from a battery contacts the eyes, rinse the  eyes with clean water immediately and consult a doctor for the 

necessary treatment. There is a risk of losing eyesight. Also, if the liquid contacts the skin or clothes, rinse with water.
Do not short-circuit, disassemble, heat or expose to fire. These actions may result in the leakage of liquid, heating or an explosion.

If the clock does not function 
properly, for example, because 
of a display malfunction, remove 
and then replace the battery.

Before using this product please read thoroughly the “Precautions regarding waterproofing”. Using the product without 

strictly following the contents laid down in these precautions may cause a malfunction.

Important points regarding usage

As malfunction may be caused, pay careful attention to the points below.

Do not put anything in the holes on the back of the speaker. This can result in the loss of the waterproofing function.

Do not soak the product in or put any of the liquids listed in the example below on the product. Also do not put sand or mud 

on the product.

Example liquids: soap, detergent, water containing bubble bath or similar, seawater, swimming pool water, hot spring water, 

boiling water, pharmaceutical products, etc.

Do not float the product on water or submerge it in water when using. Also, do not intentionally splash water on it.

* It is possible to operate the buttons with hands wet with water.

If a lot of water is splashed on the product or if it falls into a body of water, wipe the water off immediately with a dry cloth.

After using the product in a place such as a bathroom, wipe the moisture off and place the product in a location with a low 

moisture level.

Do not use the product in locations with a high temperature and humidity, such as saunas or bedrock baths.

When you are moving the product from a cold place to a warm bathroom, for example, move the product after it has 

reached a normal temperature. If there are sudden changes in the temperature, condensation is produced inside the 

product and can cause malfunctioning as a result of problems such as the development of rust and the shorting of the 

battery or circuit.

Change the battery in a place with low humidity and with hands wiped dry of water.

Incorrect use of battery can cause battery leakage, heating or explosion, leading to injury or damage to the clock.

Regularly replace the battery with a new one once a 

year even if the clock is still working.

Do not drop or subject to strong impact as a clock is a precision instrument. Doing so may cause malfunction or 

damage.

Do not disassemble or modify, this may result in a malfunction.

Do not insert the plus (+) and minus (–) ends of the battery in reverse.

Use the battery specified by the manufacturer.

Remove any flat battery as soon as possible.

Remove the battery from the clock when not in use for a long time.

Do not charge the battery.

Do not use in the following locations. Doing so may cause the device, case and/or battery to deteriorate, resulting in 

inaccuracy or shortening the life of the clock and the battery.

 Although this product is designed for usage in places where water splashes, such as near a shower, 

it is not completely waterproof

 The waterproof effect of the waterproof packing gradually declines. The progression of the deterioration varies depending on the environment in 

which the product is used.

 When the battery cover is securely attached, this product is designed to have a waterproof level equivalent to the IP code IPX-4 (splash-resistant 

type).

Regarding waterproofing

* IPX-4 is the splash-proof protection standard.

It is confirmed that water does not penetrate the product in the conditions assumed by usage in the vicinity of a shower with water splashing from 

all directions for a period of 5 minutes.

* The waterproof function is designed to work for both fresh water and tap water.

For example, extended exposure to sunlight. Locations near heating or other apparatus with hot blasts or flames. 

Locations where the temperature is lower than –10 °C (+14 °F). The quality of plastic components and batteries will 

deteriorate.

Locations with long periods of high temperature and humidity, such as in a sauna or bedrock bath.

Locations with a strong magnetic field, such as in the proximity of television sets, office automation equipment, audio apparatus, 

etc. Magnetic fields may cause the clock to accelerate, decelerate or stop. 

Locations where strong vibrations exist such as in a train, in a ship or at a construction work site.

Locations where gas exists such as at the site of a hot spring. 

Locations where large quantities of oil are used. (Oil in the form of a mist will adhere to the case and machine parts, staining the 

clock or causing the clock to stop.)

If directly attached to flexible PVC for a long period of time, colors may transfer or stain each other.

Do not insert anything in the
