Install the upper chute tube into the extension tube that
the rubber strap was NOT installed on. Secure the tubes
together using two ratchet clips (726-3046) included in

Install both hose clamps onto each end of the flexible hose
extension as shown in Figure 4-23, positioning them over
the wide adhesive rubber strips previously installed on
each extension tube.

Note:
Orientate the hose clamps so that they align over the
two wide adhesive rubber strips previously installed and
the excess from the clamps points downward as shown in
the inset of Figure 4-23.
Note:
It is best to only snug-fit these clamps in this phase
as you will be instructed to tighten them later once the
discharge chute is installed on the tractor and adjusted.
3.
Peel the backing off of one of the self-adhesive foam
strips (721-04388) that has been included with your grass
collector. Apply it to the upper chute, flush against the
flange as shown in Figure 4-20.

Peel the backing off of the other self-adhesive foam
strip (721-04388) that has been included with your grass
collector. Apply it to the bottom edge of the upper chute
tube, flush against the edge as shown in Figure 4-20.

Apply the two wide adhesive rubber strips included with
the bagger onto each chute extension tube, approximately
1.25 inches from the narrow end of the extension tube,
which should be approximately a quarter inch above the
bead on the narrow end of each extension tube, as shown
in Figure 4-21.
