Place one hand in middle of top portion of
mulch assembly to secure horizontal flange
in place. While holding the mulch assembly
in place with one hand, use other hand to
lift mounting hole tab over fastener post
and hook mounting hole to fastener post on
top of deck. See Figure 11.
NOTE:
Mulch assembly will need to be
“flexed” to allow it to hook to fastener post.
IMPORTANT!
Be certain that bottom of
mulch assembly is located inside bottom lip
of deck opening.
6.
Secure with wing knob. See Figure 12.
IMPORTANT!
Recheck that bottom of mulch
assembly is located inside bottom lip of deck
opening after mulch assembly is secured.

Mulch Assembly Installation
CAUTION
Do not remove cutting deck’s discharge chute when operating mower with mulch
kit installed.
1.
Pivot the chute deflector upward and remove
the protective cover from the pin found on the
deck’s surface. See Figure 9.
2.
Slide horizontal flange on top interior portion
of mulch assembly under top of deck. See 1 in
Figure 10.
3.
Slide front portion of bottom of mulch
assembly into bottom of discharge opening on
deck. See 2 in Figure 10.
4.
Slide slightly towards the front of the tractor
and insert rod into hole closest to deck on front
right guide wheel. See 3 in Figure 10.
