Configuration
Overview
FUSION Voice configuration consists of managing two discrete systems:
1. Tait Communications radio
2. MST Push-to-Talk application
Each of these systems has its own configuration and update procedures as detailed below.
Tait Communications Radio
Direct configuration of the FUSION Voice radio requires a USB configuration cable (sold
separately) and Tait TM9355 Radio Programming software.
Please refer to the user documentation available from the Tait support portal for further details on
how to use this software and manage fleet of units.
MST PTT Application
The FUSION Voice uses the same PTT channel configuration files as the MST MinePhone - a
deployment already managing MinePhones will not need to make additional changes to pick up
configured PTT channels.
Managing using ICA
Deployments using an ICA Version 2.14.0 or later are capable of discovering FUSION Voice units
on the same network. These devices can be configured and managed using configuration
templates setup in the ICA Admin Console.
Firmware Updates using ICA
The ICA can push updated PTT firmware to the FUSION Voice. MST regularly releases firmware
updates to add new features and capabilities to their system, the latest version of the FUSION
Voice firmware can be downloaded from:
https://support.mstglobal.com/releases/firmware/
To push a firmware update to FUSION Voice, use the Admin Console to upload a file to the ICA
and select type VMP_FIRMWARE.
