3. CHANGING THE PIN CODE ON THE INFRARED REMOTE CONTROL
For security reasons, you should change the factory-set PIN code with a personal
PIN code, BEFORE recording any master or service fingerprint.
1 - Remote control pointed to blue LED
2 - Press D
3 - Press E
4 - Enter factory-set PIN
5 - Press OK
6 - Enter personal PIN (4-6 digits)
7- Press OK
Your hands must be very clean when recording fingerprints. Use fin-
gers without scars, otherwise they will be difficult to record or the
results will be low quality.
4. MASTER FINGERPRINTS
The master fingerprint is NOT used to open the lock, but only to access programming/deletion of the service fingerprints
on the scanner. We advise you NOT to use fingers habitually used.
As soon as you power-on the scanner, the two LEDs (green and red) light permanently. You must now record one or more
master fingerprints in order to access the functions. You can record up to 3 master fingerprints (see the next section) by
swiping your finger on the scanner as shown in the figure.

Switch on power to the scanner and to the XMODE lock, and check that the blue LED located in the inside niche of the
scanner is on.
N.B. The remote control is supplied with a preset PIN code (shown on the adhesive label on the remote control).
