Locate provided Ball Studs. Install Ball Stud into factory fender bolt location. Torque to 10 ft-lbs.

Using a Dremel, trim the battery cover shroud. Be sure to trim enough of the panel so that it easily fits with
the ball stud installed.
7.
Re-install battery cover shroud.
Note: The following steps are best completed with an additional person to help hold the hood of the vehicle.
8.
While holding the hood, use a 12mm socket remove the (2) nuts securing the hood hinge to the hood.
9.
Install the Hood Strut Bracket onto the studs protruding from hood. The ball end should point away from
the engine bay.
