Microphone Gain
The sensitivity of your radio’s microphone can be adjusted to fit different users or
operating environments. Please refer to page 14.
Hands-Free Use/VOX
With Compatible VOX Accessories
•
Turn radio Off.
•
Open Accessory Cover.
•
Insert plug of audio accessory firmly into Accessory Jack.
•
Turn radio On. Radio will display:

If flashing, please
refer to page 14.
•
Lower radio volume BEFORE placing accessory on head
or in ear.
•
To transmit, speak into Accessory Microphone and to
receive, stop talking.
•
VOX operation can be disabled by pressing
M
or
removing audio accessory.
Note:
There is a short delay between when you start talking
and the radio transmits.
