Errors While Scanning

Unless otherwise specified, to correct an error during a scanning sequence, just re-scan the correct parameter.

Symbology Parameter Defaults

lists the defaults for all symbologies parameters. There are two ways to change the default values:

Scan the appropriate bar codes in this guide. These new values replace the standard default values in
memory. To recall the default parameter values, scan the

Default Parameters on page 5-4

.

Download data through the device’s serial port using SSI. Hexadecimal parameter numbers are shown in this
chapter below the parameter title, and options are shown in parenthesis beneath the accompanying bar
codes. See the

Simple Serial Interface (SSI) Programmer’s Guide

for detailed instructions for changing

parameters using this method.
