Basic Operating Procedures

Monitoring Conventional Modes

To monitor conventional modes, do the following:

1

Press the preprogrammed Monitor button.

2

The display shows

MON ON

and the carrier

squelch annunciator is turned on indicating
that the squelch circuit has been opened,
allowing you to monitor all the traffic on the
channel.

To cancel monitoring

1

Press the preprogrammed Monitor button.

The display shows

MON OFF

and the carrier

squelch annunciator is turned off.
