If you want a different word, continue pressing
keys to enter the remaining characters.
If you enter a word your phone does not recognize,
your phone stores the word to use as a future word
option. When you run out of phone memory for
unrecognized words, your phone deletes the oldest
word to add new words.
numeric method
In a text entry screen, press

to switch entry
methods until your phone displays the

(numeric) indicator.
Press keypad keys to enter the numbers you want.
When you finish entering numbers, press
*
to
switch to another entry method.
symbol method
In a text entry screen, press

to switch entry
methods until your phone displays the

(numeric) indicator.
1 Press a key one or more times to show possible
symbol combinations at the bottom of the screen.
2 Scroll left or right to highlight the symbol you
want.
3 Press Select to enter the highlighted symbol.
delete letters & words
Place the cursor to the right of the text you want to
delete, and then:
• Press
B
to delete one letter at a time.
• Press and hold
B
to delete all text.
