— Turn down the contrast as low as possible.

— Don’t set the backlight for the display to be always on. Try turning it off completely, or

Volume
— Higher volumes draw more power. The rating for your player was determined using a
volume of 15.

Bitrate
— Higher bitrates draw more power than lower ones. Try ripping at 128 kbps.
o
Audio
format
— WMAs use more processing power than MP3s.
o
Standard
headphones
— High-powered headphones use more power. Test the battery life with the
standard ear buds or headphones that are included with your player.
