Bluetooth Profiles
The LEX device supports a wide range of Bluetooth services.

Bluetooth Profile Description
Headset Profile (HSP AG) Provides support for the popular Bluetooth
headsets to be used with mobile phones with
ability to ring, answer a call, hang up, and ad-
just the volume.
Serial Port Profile (SPP Dev A, Dev B) Sets up a virtual serial port and connects two
Bluetooth enabled devices. For example, con-
necting the device to a printer.
File Transfer Profile (FTP Server) Provides the capability to expose local file sys-
tem to remote devices which can manipulate
and transfer files.
Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP
TG) Allows remote devices to control audio play-
back on local device (for example: play, pause,
stop, adjust volume).
Dial-up Networking (DUN GW) Profile Allows the device to share Internet connection
with another device.
Object Push Profile (OPP Client/Server) Allows the device to push and pull objects to
and from a push server.
Personal Area Network (PAN NAP/PANU) Allows the device to share Internet connection
with another device (for example a laptop) and
to access the Internet shared by another device
(for example a Bluetooth enabled phone).
Human Interface Device Profile (HID Host) Allows Bluetooth keyboards, pointing devices,
gaming devices, and remote monitoring devices
to connect to the device.
Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP
SRC) Allows the device to stream stereo-quality audio
to a wireless headset or wireless stereo speak-
ers.
Handsfree Profile (HFP AG) Provides the capability for carkits and Bluetooth
headset to be used for phone calls and control
them (initiate, answer, terminate, and other).
Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP PSE) Allows exchange of Phone Book Objects be-
tween a car kit and a mobile phone to allow the
car kit to display the name of the incoming call-
er; allow the car kit to download the phone book
so the user can initiate a call from the car dis-
play.
Message Access Profile (MAP MSE) Allows exchange of messages between devi-
ces.
Health Thermometer profile (HTP Collector) Enables transmission and reception of medical
device data.
