The status light initially is turned off to extend battery life.
To turn it on, see “Initial Setup” on page 58.
Note:
Turning on the status light will substantially reduce
your phone’s
standby time
, the length of time that your
phone’s battery retains power when the phone is turned on
but is not in use.
Adjusting Volume
Press the up and down
volume keys to:

increase and
decrease earpiece
volume during a call

increase and decrease the ringer volume setting when
the idle display is visible (flip must be open)
Tip:
At the lowest volume setting, press the down
volume key to switch to silent alert. Press the up
volume key to reset ring alert.
