Intercom
Use the settings on the Intercom page to setup the SIP connection for the Video Intercom. You can
configure your Video Intercom to work with SIP or your VMS. If you are using SIP, you can configure for:

SIP Peer to Peer calling
. Used for configuring the Video Intercom to make a direct SIP call to a
specific SIP phone. For more information, see
SIP Peer to Peer Configuration

SIP/PBX Server calling
. Used to register the Video Intercom on the PBX server as one of the
extensions, and then use the PBX server as a proxy for making calls to a SIP phone. For more

If you want to use your Video Intercom with your ACC system, select
VMS
as the
Intercom Call Destination
and configure your Video Intercom settings on the Audio page and in the ACC Client. For more information,

. The codec, volume and microphone settings on the
Audio page will also affect SIP configurations.
If your SIP phone and PBX server supports SIP video calls, the Video Intercom will also send a video stream
to the SIP phone. Configure the settings on the SIP Video Settings page to modify the video settings for SIP
calls. For more information, see
Important:
If any SIP configuration setting is changed while a call is ongoing, that call will be
dropped when the changes are applied.
SIP Peer to Peer Configuration
SIP peer to peer calling configuration is a simple setup for locations that want to have the same SIP phone
always answer calls from the Video Intercom, such as a security desk phone.
1. Select
SIP
as the
Intercom Call Destination
.
2. Configure the following SIP Peer To Peer Call Settings:
l
Display Name
: Enter the name for the Video Intercom that will be displayed when calling the
SIP phone. This field is optional and can be left empty.
l
SIP Call Destination
: Enter the domain address of the SIP phone that the Video Intercom will
dial. This must be a valid IPv4, IPv6, or DNS name.
l
SIP Call Destination Port
: Enter the UDP port number of the SIP phone that the Video
Intercom will dial. This must be a valid port number between 1 and 65534. The default port is
5060.
Note:
Ports 1-1024 are reserved IP ports. SIP ports should be outside of this reserved
