CHARGING WITH AC ADAPTOR
IMPORTANT: The
EZ Start™ comes equipped with low voltage protection and will not
operate below 12.5V. Immediately recharge the
EZ Start™ with all accessories turned off.
NOTE:
EZ Start™ Lithium-ion Car Starter comes equipped with a master power locking pin
and must be removed prior to charging. The master locking pin can be stored on the back of
the
EZ Start™.
Ensure all switches are in the off position prior to charging. Do not operate any of the
accessories while charging; this could permanently damage the unit.
1.
Plug the AC adaptor cord into any 110 Volt AC wall outlet first, and then into the input
charging jack on the front of the unit.
2.
Flip
the Mode switch down to the charge position “=”. The LED indicator light will
illuminate red if the
EZ Start™ is below 13V, and orange if it is between 13 – 16.5V, both
red and orange indicate the unit is charging.
If LED indicator light flashes red, the unit is not charging. Turn off unit and repeat steps 1
and 2. If LED light continues to flash, replace the AC charger.
3.
EZ Start™ will take approximately 6 – 8 hours to charge.
4.
The LED indicator light will illuminate green when the
EZ Start™ is fully charged, 16.5V.
NOTE: EZ Start™ is supplied with an AC switching adaptor. The switching adaptor prevents
the battery from being overcharged by cutting power to the unit once it is fully charged.
CHARGING WITH DC PLUG
1.
Ensure the engine is running.
2.
Insert the 12V power plug on the
EZ Start™ into the vehicle’s accessory outlet.
3.
Flip
the Mode switch down to the charge position “=”. The LED indicator light will
illuminate red if the
EZ Start™ is below 13V, and orange if it is between 13 – 16.5V, both
red and orange indicate the unit is charging.
Charging the EZ Start™ from the cars 12V power plug will only partially charge the unit. To
fully charge, it is recommended to use the AC Adaptor supplied.
NOTE:
NEVER leave vehicle running in an enclosed or poorly ventilated space.
Do not leave EZ
Start™ plugged into the 12V accessory outlet when the vehicle is not running as it
may drain the battery in your car.
CHARGING TIPS AND WARNINGS
Keep battery power topped up, ready for emergencies. Unlike some rechargeable batteries,
frequent charging will not harm and in fact, will improve the performance of the internal battery.
Recharge battery as soon as possible after each use to prolong battery life. Frequent heavy drains
between recharging will reduce battery life. Do not leave
EZ Start™ in a total drained state for an
extended period of time as this can cause battery failure.
Store in a cool dry place.
Recharge every 3 months when not in use and more frequently in warmer or colder storage
conditions.
DO NOT OPERATE ANY OF THIS UNITS FUNCTIONS WHILE CHARGING IS IN PROCESS.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS - HOW TO BOOST YOUR CAR BATTERY
Important Notes:
• EZ Start™ comes equipped with a master power locking pin and must be removed prior to
using. The master locking pin can be stored on the back of the EZ
Start™.
• Before attempting to start vehicle, the EZ Start™ must be removed from the vehicle’s 12V
accessory outlet.
• EZ Start™ is designed for use on gasoline engines only with 12V batteries. DO NOT use on
diesel engines.
