11. PERIODIC
CHECKLIST
AT EVERY USE
– Make sure wheelchair rolls easily and straight.
– Check for noise, vibration or any deviation from normal func-
tioning.
– Make sure wheel locks are working properly.
– Make sure the two quick release axles of rear wheels are
locked.
– Make sure the front forks are perpendicular to the floor.
– Ensure that the backrest locks properly in unfloded position if
applicable.
– Visually inspect tires (front & rear) for debris, low pressure,
puncture or wear.
– Make sure anti-tipper are locked in lower position (if equipped).
– Visually inspect fabric for wear, tears and cuts.
– Make sure that handles are not loose (if equipped).
– Check handrims for rough edges and make sure they are free
from grease or other contaminants.
– Checks for component interference.
– Check for irregular noise and rattles.
WEEKLY
– Check tire pressure with a tire gage.
– Check seat upholstery tension.
MONTHLY
– Check wheel alignment.
– Check for free running of forks.
– Inspect bolts and screws and tighten if necessary.
YEARLY
– Have a complete inspection performed by a qualified technician.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Tire pressure could be adjusted by the owner or an assistant
with proper tools. If any part appears not to work properly
after inspection, the wheelchair should be immediately sent
for repair to a qualified technician.
NOTICE FOR DISPOSAL OR
RECYCLING OF THE WHEELCHAIR
To be disposed of the chair, return the device to your dealer
or rehabilitation center.
All components of the product should be recycled or dis-
posed in accordance with national environmental laws and
standards.
