The MOR/Safe Escape Ladder has been uniquely designed for safely using the window exit of a 5th wheel in 

the event of a fire or emergency.*  Featuring a unique sliding design, the MOR/Safe Escape Ladder can be set 

up in seconds and provides a simple and effective method of escape from the 5th wheel.  Developed by the 

leaders in suspension systems for RV’s, the MOR/Safe Escape Ladder features an innovative design backed by 

high quality construction.

TOOLS NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION:

• Tape measure

 

Drill

• Either a series of bits up to 1”, a stepped bit up to 1” or a 1” hole saw

• Flathead Screwdriver

• 7/16” Wrench

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

SP56-137 STANDARD PLATFORM LADDER

STEP 1:

 The MOR/Safe Escape Ladder will be shipped with the ladder (I) inside the ladder frame mount (H). 

The ladder stops (J) are attached but will not be tightened, which will allow the ladder to slide out from the 

ladder frame mount. Disconnect the travel safety latch and slide the ladder all the way out of the ladder frame 

mount and set it aside. 

IMPORTANT

: IT IS NECESSARY TO CONFIRM THAT THERE WILL BE ADEQUATE CLEARANCE 

BETWEEN THE TRUCK BED RAILS AND THE LADDER FRAME MOUNT. A CLEARANCE OF 9” 

BETWEEN THE TRUCK BED RAILS AND THE UNDERSIDE OF THE 5TH WHEEL IS NECCESSARY 

AS  5” OF CLEARANCE WILL BE REQUIRED AFTER INSTALLATION.
